The prize for the most inventive use of a pair of trousers goes to…

What we all thought (including Samira herself) was just a trouser leg and a piece of shirt fabric soon became, with a quick tuck here and a fold there, a magnificent tidy-away-tidy-thing.

A plethora of patterns. Recognize any of them, Winkie?

A tuck here, a fold there

….chop of the bits that don’t fit in with the overall project goal (at times even Samira may have forgotten what that was)

And voila! The perfect cutlery-cosy

  1. hey those were my favourite raw silk trousers.. loved the happy colours .. never wore them of course. On Sunday I have promosed myself the treat of a trip to an abdali style market here in Tunis .. called ‘la frippe’ and brilliant (totally disorganised) .. so may return with a replacement pair.
